These scenarios offer a quick overview from some main features of FLOE.

The lists show typical tasks solved in the most common way and compared to the solution with FLOE.

 

 

 

Scenario 1: Web-Development

Upload a local edited file (e.g. script, flash-object or applet)

Manage multiple code snippets while editing scripts

Change permissions of path(s)

Compress files (e.g. log-files, old content, database backups)

Download, compress the files and upload the compressed packages.

Password protection for files

1.Requires a FTP client.
2.Requires opened network port at the firewall for FTP protocol.
3.Utility for password encryption.

 

Create a .htaccess file. This also requires good know-how in building these files.

Filesystem > Share

 

Share files even if there paths are outside from the document root and protect them with passwords if necessary. You can also add a time limit to the share.

 

 

 

Scenario 2: Server administration

FLOE is created to work independent of typcial path restrictions.

Network port testing

2.Requires opened network ports at the firewall for  the individual protocols.

Scenario 3: File management

With usage of FLOE

Copy, delete, move or rename paths (files and folders within sub-elements) and create new directories.

1.Requires a FTP client.
2.Requires opened network port at the firewall for FTP protocol.

 

Even typical FTP clients cannot copy paths or not correctly.
